Jaja’s wedding – the story…

It’s jaja’s wedding! A wedding that we all have been waiting for.  In fact we were talking about this – the best woman (pengapit) thing if one of us get married first, well since our final year in Uni heheh.  In this case, it is Jaja who goes first. Congratulations dear.

I can’t believe it but, for sure, Jaja’s wedding did have something to do with my own – wait! not that I am engaged to someone that I feel like to rush my own wedding or something, but it did make me think of my future (my love life, to be precise..)

Well, save that for later. Now I want to tell about Jaja’s wedding. I arrived at Jaja’s on Friday morning, at 5.30 am.  Jaja was sleeping but she woke up anyway, to greet Erna and I, with inai on her fingernails. She wasn’t really sleeping anyway. Poor her. She looked tired but all smiled when she saw us.  Her sis, Nora then prepared us our temporary bed. We slept and woke up at 7 something, in vision to help the preparation.  Jaja’s akad will be held at the Surau after Asar.

After akad, I can’t help but cried – yeah, I know, I was so weepy-weepy, but she’s my bestfriend, and I was so happy for her.

At night, she and Abang were to bersanding ala Melaka.  Or it was called berinai. So, I was the pengapit.  Wore Jaja’s other sis dress – Dayah because Jaja didnt tell me I have to be pengapit for two occasions. Hehe. Anyway… I was glad that she still chose me to be her pengapit – bride’s maid or whatever they called it…

After the bersanding, Abang went back to his family’s house and Jaja continued posing in 6-7 pairs of wedding dress from all over country I think – it’s until 1 am then she got to sleep. Poor her. I was dozing since 12 am…anyway, I just couldnt afford to stay up till that late to watch her posed in many-many dress.

Saturday – Jaja and Abang were to bersanding real.  Now it’s green. I joined them for makan beradap – I was at the pengantin table seyh.  Heheh.

After the bersanding and potong kek almost over, I told Jaja’s family that it’s time for me and Erna to go.  We are to go back to KL on Sunday, and Apay and Lukman were there to pick us up.

I left the house, with happy thoughts, to see Jaja and Abang finally together after years of sharing love, boleh…

And of course, with the question, when is mine?

Haha. :P
