“Katakanlah, kita beli rumah setingkat, lepas beberapa tahun, kita ada duit lebih, rancang pula mahu bina setingkat lagi, nak jadikan rumah tu dua tingkat. Kita cakap pada kontraktor, I don’t care, I nak rumah tu siap within this time, and at the same time, I want to live here, peacefully, tak mahu ada gangguan, pencemaran bunyi and all, with no additional cost”
Well, that’s what the second chair said in a meeting. I was amazed at how smooth he put the metaphor for a case, an infrastructure improvement case. This was his respond to some parties at the meeting that wanted (most of) everything to be on their preferences. Which was not really fair.
I couldn’t agree more, because well, in this life, we are not living alone, and in terms of having an improvement (for future betterment) it is crucial to have more people involved. It is important to take into considerations of others’ interest and importance and influences they have in/on our life.
