My husband and I are on our way back from my hometown. We were there to pay our last respect to my late grandmother who passed away last Saturday.

It was surreal as I received the news from my father. I was in Kedah, taking care of the closing ceremony for our event. Frankly, I didn’t even know what to feel at that time, my mind was focusing on who to be mad at for not checking things until last minutes for the event.

I last visited my grandma and talked to her early October. I guess we were ready for anything since the doctor said there’s nothing much left to do. She was 86 years old.

Anyway, I just wanted everyone to be close to their parent. Appreciate them while they are still here… I have lost my mom 10 years ago… and my grandma had so much more replaced her for all these years. So now, the house will likely sit empty unless for raya or any kenduri.

I don’t even know if the uncles and auntie are gonna spend more time at late grandma’s house, now that she’s gone. Masa arwah ada pun jarang balik. Sometimes I can’t help but think… kenapa susah sangat diorang nak balik, though I tried so much to be understanding but didn’t they realise how much their mom missed them?

Please appreciate your parents and families.

Whatever it is, we are moving on with our life. And pray for the best for everyone. Take care and hugs.

Hilang telefon

my current phone SAMSUNG Galaxy S Advance

Jumaat lepas, masa on the way balik Kelantan, Syafiq, Matmin and I stopped to have dinner near Sri Gombak. After that, I macam galak nak beli magazine. That’s when I remember putting down my handphone to reach a new copy of Cosmo.

Then, paid and entered the car with the new issue of Cosmo. 2 minutes, I was like, Syafiq, could you please dial my number. I think I’ve lost my phone…

Exactly, I’ve lost my phone so Matmin made a U-turned then we returned to the magazine shop only to find out that my mobile was nowhere in sight. I remembered exactly the place where I put it before, but of course…

Syafiq dialled few more times and at the third ringing it was off. ย Matmin suggested that we went to nearby Celcom Center to report and stop the number. I tried to call the center while both Matmin and Syafiq tried to persuade whoever who find the phone to return the phone to the owner (me). ย Their sms sounded almost like this

“mohon jasa baik tuan untuk pulangkan telefon ini.. banyak kenangan bersama famili dalam telefon ni. Yang berharap sangat, terima kasih.”

While I was talking to the customer service operator explaining and asking, Syafiq’s phone was being contacted by my phone! Someone called us using my phone!

Long story short, I got my phone back, Alhamdulillah. The whole drama took almost 40 minutes, where I left it in Gombak, and got it back in front of a temple in Batu Caves. ๐Ÿ™‚ In front of the flower stall some more. ๐Ÿ˜›

The founder asked me for some money, I just gave it. If she didn’t return it I will probably lost more money and lots more of everything I have in the phone.

Okay, then I read the Cosmo on Saturday to find an article about losing your smartphone, what are the apps to install in order to track your phone if you lost it, etc, what an irony!

So many dramas kan!!!

Of Last Week

It has been almost a good two weeks since I last wrote something here. ย For sure lots of things had happen. More of work related stuffs actually, I have been running here and there. Chasing from a meeting to another. Well, that’s my life and I think I like it. Though there were times that I felt too tired to go on…

It started since early May when the industry players chose to hold a picket in Port Klang. That’s when I started to run here and there. I From Port Klang to the office, then to another ministry to discuss on the same issue.

First week of May I was involved with the ASEAN meeting which was held in KL. The meeting was a long two and half days affair, plus a study visit to BTS in Bandar Tasik. It was a chance to meet colleagues from AMS. I particularly delightful to see familiar faces from Thailand, Laos, Philippines and Cambodia. They are the ones that involve in my other meeting under the economic issue. ย I also made new friends, especially from Indonesia. They were cute! ๐Ÿ™‚

I had chance to spend one night at my mum’s. I was supposed to attend a meeting in Kota Bharu last week. That’s one of a last minute call. Luckily boss understood me and just let me go. I decided to purchase the air tickets on my own because it’s too late to apply for warrant. I also assisted by AT when her mum let me used her car to move on the ground when I was in Kelantan last week. ๐Ÿ™‚ ย It was good to see my family, even it’s just for a few hours, because I arrived home at 1.00 am and all brothers were sleeping and they had to go to school in the morning. ย The meeting that I had to attend was an emotional one. I guess the issue was too critical and it was such a shame that at the final point like that, then they thought to call us for meeting. I guess the issue was not solved yet by now. (It’s supposed to be done by Saturday). However, since it’s a technical issue, I let the respective department to manage it. I hope it could be solved this week.

Then I was summoned to attend another meeting on bilateral roundtable session. This one was kind of mess because they (the other ministry) wanted to have some seniors from our office to take part in this discussion. However, since the date was already booked for a senior officials meeting which is held in Indonesia, and most our seniors and bosses are now in Bandung. I had to prepare some write ups and points on given issues, and since the pre-discussion was held last Thursday, I had so little time to do things due to me running to another meeting after another… it’s yesterday that I came out with the needed points. We had another pre-discussion and I was glad to know that they (the secretariat/the other ministry) had called various parties to talk on various issues, including my issue. I don’t think I won’t be saying anything much during the roundtable session, which will happen tomorrow in KL.

Today I was supposed to attend a signing ceremony but I decided not to go. I was too tired I think.

Oh, I was in Shah Alam on Saturday, for my sister’s convocation. That’s a simple affair, only my sis and I. My parent couldn’t make it but I had good time with my other siblings and cousins at my uncles after that. We watched football together. (Though I fell asleep during the winning goal) After all, it’s our proud team who won! I am so proud.

On Sunday, I spent at my uncle’s and had great time shopping with my siblings and cousins. ๐Ÿ˜‰

After all, life is blessed. I couldn’t ask for more.

Thank you Allah, alhamdulillah.

Welcoming Rajab, I wish to fast as many days as I could.

Cameron Highland ;)

I spent last weekend with colleagues from my division, in Cameron Highland. ๐Ÿ™‚ One of the coldest (and highlands) place in Malaysia. It is situated in Pahang, with the entrance could be from Perak (North) or Kelantan (East).

Last time I was there, in 2008 with wordpressers, Kak Nana, Ayumi, Buzzy and Tata ๐Ÿ˜‰ Owh. Miss them so much. We still keep in touch though not as close as before, due to our changed commitments and priorities. ย This trip remarked my third time there, the first one was with my family circa 2005. I even dreamed about my parents on the second night ๐Ÿ˜› (Miss them too… )

Okay, we were there to discuss a lot of things in regards to the development of our division. We progressed a lot since the day we were established. (2009). Our workloads had increased, with the introduction of various new initiatives, NKEA and NKRA to name a few. Not to mention that we were focal points to a lot of development plan led by other ministries, such as the economic corridors, IMP3…

I believed we had achieved our objectives so that our boss let us finished earlier to spend Saturday afternoon (after 4.30 pm) to go for sight seeing and shopping. Yeay! ๐Ÿ™‚

We went to Bharat Tea Plantation and Brinchang Market, had some tea and scones (and some cakes and shortbread) yummy, took photos etc, some vegetables and strawberries and corn shopping… :D. We had our bbq dinner that night at the hotel. Oh, btw we stayed at Heritage Hotel. Nice place. Could be nicer if they improved their services. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

We checked out yesterday, at 9.30 am and headed down with few stops for more shopping and sight seeing. We finally reached Putrajaya at 5.00 pm. ย ๐Ÿ™‚

Here are some photos.
